Exciting “Workshop Day”

at Old Austerlitz

Two exciting workshops happened simultaneously at Old Austerlitz on Saturday, September 27th!  The day was exciting, educational and “fire-y!”

If you have ever thought about learning the basics of Blacksmithing or Open Hearth Cooking (and Brick Oven Baking), please let us know and we’ll keep you in mind for our next workshop. 392-0062

Participants worked over the hot coals of the forge or the glowing embers of hearth and oven… and experienced the activities that were part of daily life in the 1800’s.  Classes took place in our historic Blacksmith’s Shop and in the Old Kitchen of our 1794 Morey-Devereaux House.
